Post-graduate students from Lingnan University attended an Introductory Course on Islamic Finance at SIFA.
Singapore: Thirty-eight post-graduate students from Lingnan University, Hong Kong will be attending an Introductory Course on Islamic Finance at the Singapore Islamic Finance Academy (SIFA), a member of SSAGroup on Friday afternoon, 5th January 2018. The students are from the university’s Master of Science in International Banking and Finance (MIBF) programme. The course will provide an overview of the key concepts in Islamic finance as well the nature of contemporary Islamic finance practice. The course is designed to prepare future entrants in the Islamic finance industry. As part of a study tour, the University aims at helping the students to learn from the success of Singapore. It acknowledges that Islamic Finance is an important sector and believes that the knowledge will be of great benefit to its students which include an Accountant, a Chief Operating Officer, a Finance Director, a Human Resource Manager and a Project Manager. Mr Suhaimi Salleh, President & CEO of SSAGroup said, “We are very honoured that Lingnan University, Hong Kong trusts SIFA to conduct this programme for their students. The 3-hour programme will provide a very good foundational knowledge of Islamic Finance and its applications in the world of international banking and finance. After the course, we hope the students.
